Stumbling upon a lost package in the snowbank near our mailbox forever altered the course of my life. Meant for a nearby address, I was mystified as to why someone in Indiana would be receiving a package from of all places... Romania, and when I made a grisly discovery while attempting to deliver the package, its contents proved too tempting for an inquisitive teen like me. Inside an ornately-crafted wooden box, I found some fascinating oddities... a vampire hunting tool kit, a medieval text documenting a centuries-long hunt, and something much more disturbing. My insatiable curiosity propelled me into the secretive realm of the Kresniks, whose daggers sought to end the reign of cursed, blood-sucking demons, but unearthing such revelations made me an easy target for the undead. Coaxed out of my shell of shyness by a beautiful and mysterious Romanian transfer student, I realized she was far more than what she appeared to be. Desperation led me to a transformation into something not entirely human, and this twist of fate forced me down a dark path towards love, loss, and adventure!
